Paneer Pakoda is an Indian cottage cheese starter dish made of spices and seasoned chick peas flour.
For Paneer/Indian cottage cheese marination:
- Paneer/Indian cottage cheese (200 gms, cut into pieces). Show how to make Paneer/Indian cottage cheese at home.
- Chilly powder (1/2 tsp)
- Salt (1/2 tsp)
For seasoned batter:
- Chick peas flour (1 cup)
- Salt (1 tsp)
- Chilly powder(1/2 tsp)
- Baking powder(a pinch)
In a bowl, add paneer/Indian cottage cheese, chilly powder, salt, mix well and keep it for 5 minute.
In another bowl, add chick peas flour, chilly powder, salt, baking powder, little by little water and make a smooth batter.
Dip the marinated Paneer/Indian cottage cheese in the seasoned batter and coat it all over.
Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the paneer pakodas till it turns light golden brown in color.
Switch off the flame and drain away the excess oil from the pakodas into a tissue paper.
Paneer pakodas are now ready and tastes best when served with mint chutey. Enjoy!
