Coconut Chutney

  • Grated coconut (1 cup)
  • Ginger (1 inch)
  • Green Chilly (1)
  • Salt as per taste
  • Water (1 & 1/4th cup)
  • Roasted channa dal (1 tbsp)
  • curry leaves
  • Red cilly(1)
  • Mustard seeds(1 tsp)
  • oil(1 tbsp)
  1. Blend coconut, ginger, green chilly, ginger water and salt into very fine paste.
  2. Heat oil, add mustard, curry leaves and red chilly. Once the mustard splutter, add the blended coconut paste and boil it.
Server hot with snacks like idli, dosa, upma, etc.

Hi – your written ingredients list 2 cups of water, but in your video you use 1 and 1/4 cups of water! I made it with 2 cups of water and it’s watery, so I’ll boil some of the water away when I add the tadka. The taste is great though! Thank you.
